With a gorgeous balcony overlooking the countryside, Golwg Las is a romantic setting for your next Carmarthenshire adventure. You enter the property into a contemporary kitchen with everything you need to fully embrace a self-catering holiday and rustle up a lovely meal for your partner. Following through the single-storey cottage, there is a living/dining room which has a sweet table to enjoy meals together, and sofa space to cuddle up in front of the television after a long day. From the living room, there is patio doors out to a balcony which offers great views and furniture so you can enjoy your morning coffee in the fresh air or take your dining alfresco. To finish the interior, there is a double bedroom with a dressing table so you can get ready in style and plenty of storage for those who overpack, as well as a spacious en-suite with a shower so guests can freshen up for a long day ahead, or relax your muscles in the bath after a countryside walk. Outside, there is off-road parking for one car, and a small holding with live animals. Golwg Las is set in the lovely Welsh countryside, just a short drive into Pumsaint where there is a pub, the National Trust's Dolaucothi gold mines, which offer some great tours, and the Dolaucothi Estate, where the surrounding gardens make for a lovely picnic spot. A little further into the town of Lampeter where you can grab any essentials from the shops, discover the local history museum and the Welsh Quilt Centre, or enjoy a walk with views of Afon Teifi. Also in driving distance, is the beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park with its castle ruins, walking and cycling trails, wildlife and scenic spots, each making for a great day out with a picnic. We booked it late, only by chance we found it on Sykes Cottages. First of all you need to understand this is 'away' from it all. 2 plus mies off the main road. Nearest pub over 2 miles. Track all the way up to it, drive very slowly. On our way in we spotted a Buzzard, Red Kites, Foxes. O and sheep!! On the farm site is geese, ducks, Guinea Fowl (2) and cats. So if you can accept all of that you're in for a treat. The Cottage was gorgeous. Furnished to a hight degree as we're all the fittings. Comfy bed, everything you want in the kitchen. Each day were were out arriving back around 5pm, sitting on the Balcony/Veranda with a drink and music it finished the day of perfectly.We picked a great week for weather as the sun shon every evening with no clouds in the sky. Perfect peace and quietness. Plenty of trips to Old Castles, Country house's , coastal towns etc. Full marks to host Catherine. Never felt so rested and chilled for years.
