Set over three floors, Kooky Cottage is a charming escape for couples seeking exploration of South Wales. After a day of rambles, look forward to relaxing in the sitting room, offering a traditional décor with exposed stone work and sash windows, while the woodburning stove provides a cosy ambiance. When you’re not dining at a fine restaurant in the town, enjoy whipping up home-cooked meals within the kitchen/diner, appointed with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine, handy for when your walks take off on a muddier route! Climb to the first floor to discover the double bedroom with a hanging area and chest of drawers for storing clothes, while across the landing is the bathroom with bath and shower over, so you can decide how best to prepare for the day. The market town of Brecon has plenty to offer in the form of history, from its 11th century modest cathedral with stunning stained glass, to the Regimental Museum of The Royal Welsh, showcasing military history and exhibits. Soak up culture within the Y Gaer Museum, Art Gallery & Library housed in a Greek revival building dating back to 1842 with many fascinating exhibits to discover, or for those seeking a little more adventure, explore the Brecon Beacons National Park, where you can enjoy a host of outdoor activities at the Llangorse Multi Activity Centre, offering rock climbing and horse riding, or visit Llangorse Lake for boat hire and fishing. With all this, plus the towns of Abergavenney to the South and Builth Wells to the north, Kooky Cottage provides an excellent touring base, all-year-round.
