Bawdeswell, a quaint village with a great local store, a great tavern, and a lovely garden centre, is located between the Bure and Wensum Valleys approximately 10 miles from Fakenham. The oldest ancient woods in Norfolk, Foxley Wood, is close by and makes a fantastic spot for picnics. Gressenhall Farm and Museum and Norfolk's Dinosaur Park are both easily accessible and make for enjoyable family outings. While the churches at Salle, Cawston, and Booton are well worth a visit, the adjacent towns of Reepham, Fakenham, and Norwich provide a wide variety of amenities and architecture. This charming location is great at any time of year because of the stunning surrounding countryside that provides the area with excellent walking and cycling options.
