Location Details
Backbarrow sits on the River Leven at the tip of Lake Windermere where you can enjoy views across the lake, watersports, trail across the fells, or visit the Aquarium. Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead make for great days out, with attractions related to its famous residents, William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. The popular Haverthwaite Steam Railway runs close by the village between Haverthwaite and Lakeside.
