Nice location, nice looking interior but shame the mess we found did not match the online info and pictures. Flaws where cleaning had not been completed in various areas causing a delay to our 1st nights stay and ability to enjoy our long awaited break for my wife's 60th caused upset and loss or time to enjoy our first evening. We were told to arrive 6pm when property info states 4pm. On arriving the key safe is coated in black dust that covers your hands and hence anything you touch! The Dishwasher had old dirty crockery inside, the cupboards had dirty pans and utensils in the drawer, the bench was covered in crumbs and the bread bin not emptied/clean. The outside Bin was full to overflowing so no main bin for use. The fridge had mould and old food in the freezer, the cafetiere was broken and spilt over the bench and floor, the microwave was dirty inside, the shower door does not fit properly thus leaked, the toilet was not cleaned, the sink could not function as the stopper plug was broken, the bedroom drawers had sticky cream spilt inside, the blind for patio doors is broken as the rope comes off the guide rail. Raffinbow certainly did not meet with our expectations. This property in our view is currently not suitable for those where you can not take high heat levels as only 1 fan provided and no air con. Owners Family attended to clean as we were advised the cleaners would not come back until Monday (we arrived fri). We appreciated the effort to put right the many wrongs (there were more not listed) by the owners sister who declared, 'she doesn't do cleaning' but the response returned by the proprietors after our holiday did not address the loss of our first night and instead in our opinion attacked our comments and issued a response that is now being investigated. We do not believe these proprietors appreciate negative comments and fail to recognise the upset this caused to our holiday for which we had paid for. No recompense for that first night and instead we were subjected to an unfounded unwarranted response.
