Location Details
The village of Clondrohid is tucked away amongst the stunning countryside landscape of County Cork, a stone's throw away from the popular market town of Macroom. The small village is home to a traditional Irish pub, serving refreshing pints of Guinness and hosting regular events, as well as a well-stocked convenience store, where you can pick up any forgotten essentials. Within touring distance is the bustling city of Cork and the mountain ranges, lakes and woodland of the picturesque Killarney National Park.

Fabulous cottage up a country road and retaining its charm with renovation and stunning handcraft wooden beams and stairs. Lovely attention to detail. And if the rocking chair wasn't enough, relax curled up on couch Such a cosy warm place with log burning stove to spend a few days. The view out the bedroom window across breathtaking scenery including Gougane Barra. We loved how quiet it was but with everything close by in town of Macroom. And its a great base to explore , easy enough drive to the beautiful towns and places along the Wild Atlantic Way and only a short drive to Killarney on the new road. The cottage was really well presented, clean and with everything you need . The gardens surround the owners house and cottage, set out with swing set and trampoline which children could use. Chicken coup which was a big hit with my youngest. And bee hives too. Fresh eggs and honey part of a warm welcome set out on the dining table. Pets welcome. Our border collie settled right in. Amazingly helpful and kind hosts. Would highly recommend it.
