Lancashire's Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just a stone's throw away from this beautiful town. As a holiday destination, Clitheroe has everything you could possibly need, from a local market to individual shops to numerous pubs and restaurants to choose from. The town also has a Grade I listed castle, which includes a maze and a museum for kids to explore. Edisford Sports Complex, which includes a swimming pool and a football field, is open on a rainy day for your enjoyment. The historic Brungerley Bridge and the bustling Waddow Hall, both on the outskirts of Clitheroe, are well worth a trip.
