This is a smoke free property and due to the stream in the garden, may not be suitable for children under ten years old. A shop can be found within four miles, and a pub is 0.1 mile away. Rose Cottage is a lovely base from which to explore mid Wales.

The lovely market town of Abergavenny, known as the Gateway to Wales, is nestled between the seven mountains that encircle it, with the River Usk running through it, providing stunning views in all directions. There is a castle with its own museum, churches, an indoor market hall, decent stores, and a variety of taverns and restaurants to satisfy all tastes in the town. Beautiful treks through the Wye Valley and Vale of Usk, as well as the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, are close by, and the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and Black Mountains are nearby.
