Helston is located at the western entrance to the Lizard Peninsula, a sizable downland region bounded by a breathtaking coastline. The intriguing Helston Folk Museum tells the many tales and traditions about the "Furry Dance" in this pleasant, bustling market town known for its Flora Day Festival. On the Helford River, in a serene environment, is the National Seal Sanctuary, where watching seals frolic and eat provides hours of amusement.
