Location Details
There are a number of beautiful Georgian buildings in and around the Borders town of Kelso, which is situated at the confluence of the Tweed and Teviot rivers. Visit William Adam's Floors Castle, a well-known stately home complete with restaurants and gardens. Mellerstain House, Kelso Abbey, and the Kelso Races are all within a few miles of each other. Stunning examples of Georgian architecture can be found in Mellerstain House. The home of the 13th Earl of Haddington was designed by William Adam and his son Robert in 1725.

This has to be our number one holiday and we’ve had a few at home and abroad the attention to the smallest detail was amazing , everything you could need or want was catered for it was home from home . How clean and fresh everything was just unbelievable and great value for money which is an added bonus . The other nice touch was Karen constantly checking in to make sure everything was as it should be the only downside was having to leave to come home . We certainly will be making a return trip . Worth every penny . I’ve raved to family and friends and highly recommended it to them as a place to stay .
