A step leads into the sitting room with TV & book selection on offer and valley views from the window seat and woodburning stove. The reading room has a selection of games. Proceed up the steps into the kitchen/diner with its double electric oven and gather at the dining table. On the ground floor is a utility with washer/dryer and freezer, and a cloakroom with a basin and WC. Upstairs; the master bedroom with high ceilings and exposed beams & king-size bed, the second bedroom with queen size bed and the third with a day bed & window seat, with the family bathroom on the same floor, containing a bath with shower over. A further staircase leads to the fourth bedroom in the eaves with exposed beams and panoramic views, a double bed, fitted wardrobes and a free-standing TV. The main garden area is at the front of the cottage, enclosed by Cotswold stone walls with a patio area and an outdoor table set. Please note - This is an old property and has many character features, including steps into some rooms, low beams, multiple floors and a steep, winding staircase with no handrail up to the second floor, which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility, or carrying babies.

Location Details
The cottage is on the edge of the village of Amberley, which although small, has two well regarded pubs. Amberley backs onto the National Trust common land of Minchinhampton Common, a unique 600 acre open space with far reaching views, which offers walking, kite flying and an 18-hole golf course. The larger towns of Nailsworth and Stroud are close by, offering a vibrant selection of restaurants, shops and award-winning farmers markets. Grange Cottage is an ideal base for outdoor activities such as walking and cycling, as well as for exploring the wider Cotswolds region and further afield places, such as Bath, Oxford and even day trips into London.
Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.
Reviews
We booked this cottage for a few days relaxing break. Noting it was on a hill and great views. What we didn’t expect was a 1 in 3 wall of a road that nearly burnt the clutch out and steep, really steep access to the house. If you’re really fit and young it may be fine but for someone older then it’s not worth it. Sykes cottages who we have had problems with before refused to refund any money. Last time I deal with them, total disgrace as this should have been signposted far more clearly .
