Location Details
Visitors to Hayle, located in Cornwall's far south-west corner, may enjoy three miles of golden sand beaches, hiking, history, and wildlife on an important RSPB wildlife estuary that flows into the stunning St. Ives Bay. In addition to water sports, Paradise Park, a wildlife park in Hayle, is a great place to see exotic animals like parrots, otters, and red pandas. Shops, restaurants, and pubs may be found throughout the estuary and harbour region of Hayle. For the whole family, there's skittles and karting, and a mile outside of Hayle, on the coast, lies one of Cornwall's top links golf courses, Lelant. Hayle's crowning glory, though, is its three-mile stretch of golden sand and world-class surfing at Gwithian, where a surf store, lessons, and equipment rentals can be found. There are beach cafes where you can relax and watch the kids play if you're not feeling up to much activity.
