Location Details
Askam-in-Furness is a civil parish on the Duddon Estuary between Kirkby-in-Furness and Barrow-in-Furness; it is considered a "gateway" to the Western Lakes and the coast. Askam and Ireleth are two of the villages that make up this area, and they're well-known for their proximity to the Sandscale Haws National Nature Reserve, the Lake District National Park, the South Lakes Safari Zoo, and the Dunnerholme Golf Club. The London House, a traditional pub serving fine ale, and The Black Dog Inn, where you can get the best burgers in town on a Friday night, are both conveniently close by.
