There is a highchair and travel cot available. Two well-behaved pets welcome; however, smoking is not permitted. Within 0.7 miles there is a shop, within 0.6 miles, a pub and within 1.6 miles, a beach. Myrtle cottage makes a charming setting for a countryside escape to Cornwall. Please note: Due to the steep drop in the garden, children must be closely supervised. Please note: Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 9.30am.

Location Details
Connor Down is a West Cornwall village near Hayle and St Ives. This village has a pub, restaurant, shops, and a farm shop with a restaurant and pick-your-own fruit. The South West Coast Path offers breathtaking views of St. Ives Bay and Godrevy Island's lighthouse. You can also walk to Hayle Towans Beach and Porthkidney Sands from here. Children will love Paradise Park and JungleBarn's rare birds and animals. In Marazion, you'll find St Michael's Mount and the beach. Connor Downs is a great place to explore Cornwall.

On arrival smell of damp when we opened the door. My husband and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom and on waking the following day my husband knocked a wood lice off my pillow beside my face. On the carpet that morning we counted 19 wood lice crawling across the carpet, on the towels and up the walls!! One drawer in the bedroom unit had mould in it and we cleaned it before I could put my clothes in. Our friend complained to Sykes who got in touch with the owner. When we returned to the cottage my clothes had been emptied out of the drawer and we were told the housekeeper had been in and bleached the drawer. How did the housekeeper know it was that drawer? The wood lice continued to be a problem and we ended up leaving a day early as we had had enough. On packing our thing out of the fridge I opened the cool box and four wood lice were inside. Owner disputes any responsibility and basically called us liars!! Totally lost any respect for Sykes Cottages and after our next trip which has been booked for many months won’t be booking with them again!! Proof of photos can be provided, owner actually insulted us by offering us £20 compensation!!! What an insult!!! Please don’t give Sykes or this patronising owner your business!
