At the western end of the spectacular pebbly Chesil Beach, near to the magnificent sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, is West Bay, also known as "The Gateway To The Dorset Jurassic Coast" and made popular by the television series Broadchurch. In addition to offering beautiful walks along the South West Coastal Path and plenty of opportunity to try your hand at sea fishing, golf, fossil finding, and boating, this great beachfront setting is ideal for family vacations. the Tank Museum in Bovington, the Naval Air Museum in Yeovil, or the residences of Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence.
