Location Details

Exmouth, on the eastern bank of the River Exe's estuary, contains everything a visitor needs for a peaceful holiday. A flourishing coastal town with a nationally recognised bird sanctuary, miles of sandy beaches, excellent coastal walking, everything for the fisherman and sailor, near proximity to Exeter, and enough to do and see all add to the town's appeal. There are few places in the world that compare to Exmouth in terms of visitor attractions and seaside lifestyle.

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Reviews

A repeat visit for us - we also stayed a week in 2022, Again, a thoroughly enjoyable week - aided by extraordinarily gorgeous weather. Once again we used the proximity of the railway station (two minute's walk) to visit Exeter, Plymouth, Dawlish, Teignmouth amongst other locations - fabulous scenery from the trains and, using a railcard, great value....£12 for two people day return to Exeter. We used several www, treasuretrails .co.uk - we love them and they show you areas you might otherwise miss. The house is clean and well presented, also well-stocked. The Sky TV (basic functions including recording) and the Alexa are nice touches, and the shower is hot and adequately powerful. Parking outside is a bit of a lottery but the newly-introduced parking passes help a lot. As I suggested last year, don't judge the street (nothing special) but wait until you are inside the very pleasing accomodation. A couple of minutes walk not only to the station but also a Marks & Spencer Food Hall , bus stops, the town ventre, pubs and restaurants.

We (my wife and I) stayed for a week in September 2022 and wow, were we impressed. Spacious, very well equipped, and brilliantly located. Marks and Spencer food store within 90 seconds walk, railway station likewise, and town centre, pubs and bus terminus 5 minutes walk. Tip....don't judge the property until you are inside - the road itself is nothing special (and parking can get a bit tight) but the inside of the house is really excellent. Hot, powerful shower and plenty of heating options for chilly evenings. Highly, highly recommended. Extra information.... - We tried several pub quizzes: easily the best one was the GWR Club behind the station (£2 to enter...no membership required) on a Thursday - We did several Treasure Trails.... around the area....we did 4 during our week. Takes you around the places you might miss otherwise
