Location Details
Between St Clement and Calenick, Malpas is a riverbank settlement. Its position allows visitors to visit National Trust properties, historical tourist attractions including museums, and attractive gardens. You'll find everything you need to stock up and enjoy the local produce in the many family-friendly restaurants, cafes, pubs, farm shops, and convenience stores. Truro, a popular cathedral city next to the settlement, has additional attractions, facilities, and retail parks, including a boating lake, Cornish themed exhibitions, and walking trails. You may also head down to Falmouth, Towan Beach, or Maenporth for a relaxed beach day, as they are all near to the coast and provide family-friendly attractions.

We stayed here for 3 nights mid-August. The cottage exceeded expectations. Downstairs there is a cosy living room, a fully kitted out kitchen, WC and washing area. Upstairs there is a large double bedroom with stunning views over the river. There is a window seat to relax and take in the views. There is also another smaller room with bunk beds. We didn’t use this room but it would be great for a couple of kids! There is a modern bathroom with a walk in shower. You access the back garden via upstairs. There are steep steps that lead to a little summer house and some decking with even more stunning views. There is a large grassy area that was great for the dog! There is a great pub next door and Truro is only a 5-10 minute drive away. We will definitely be visiting again. It was the perfect relaxing getaway!!
