Set among lush rolling meadows and wooded slopes flowing down to the gorgeous Helford river, just 3 miles away, this very quaint small community has a few shops, a pub, and a lovely church. The superb gardens of Trebah, Penjerrick, Glendurgan, and Carwinion are all within 4 miles of this quieter region of Cornwall, which is known for its warm temperature. The misty reaches of the Helford river meander upstream to Gweek, where the world-renowned Seal Sanctuary tends after the region's numerous abandoned and injured seals, making it ideal for nature lovers and boaters.
