Almondbury, a classic village of the West Riding, is located in the south Pennines only three miles south-east of Huddersfield. Almondbury was mentioned in the Domesday Book, and the village still boasts several historic landmarks from its illustrious past, such as the 16th-century Wormald's Hall (now the village Conservative club) and the 11th-century All Hallows Church.
