Location Details

Cayton is a small village and civil parish in North Yorkshire's Scarborough borough, with a good range of amenities and attractions both within the village and nearby. There are plenty of hidden gems to discover in the village, including coastal eroded pillboxes from WWII. Scarborough, a bustling resort town with plenty of attractions for all ages, has a wider selection of waterside eateries than the village. Explore the area's rich history at Scarborough Castle and the Rotunda Museum of Geology, or relax by the sea with amusement arcades, ice cream parlours, seafood stalls, and beach huts dotting the town's sandy beaches.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Reviews

We enjoyed our stay here. The house has plenty of room and is beautifully decorated and furnished. The kitchen is very well equipped - even a slow cooker provided. From here we visited Playdale farm, Filey and Cayton Bay with our family inc 2 young grandchildren. There are 2 reception rooms as well as a large kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a shower room downstairs. Upstairs there is a very large spa bath with flashing lights - unfortunately the jets did not work but the grandchildren enjoyed the massive space. Would definitely recommend this house.
