There is a lot of landscape to explore in the area, which is best known for its train that travels over a 40-mile path to allow visitors to enjoy the North of Wales' natural beauty up close. In Blaenau Ffestiniog, a former mining town with a vibrant centre, the community enjoys a smattering of shops, ranging from small independent businesses to well-known national chains. This is a perfect place to stop for a celebratory dinner and glass of champagne. The Zip World Slate Caverns and Bounce are also close by. There is a wealth of excitement to discover down below, featuring a slate mine's past and stunning views.
