Location Details
The lovely village of Twyning, on the outskirts of Twekesbury, is nestled between the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Hillview Lakes, a superb fishing area, and three traditional pubs, each serving hearty home-cooked meals and refreshing local ales, are all within walking distance of the town centre. Twyning Park, a Grade II listed country house, is a popular wedding and event site in the village, which is located on the banks of the River Avon. If you're looking for a place to go shopping or eat, the city of Cheltenham is a great choice because it's close to the country's largest racecourse, where the annual Cheltenham Festival takes place. An interesting historical town nearby called Gloucester has a stunning 11th-century cathedral housing King Edward II's burial and a former prison now used for tours and events like ghost hunting.
