The living areas consist of a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and wine cooler, a utility with washing machine, tumble dryer and coffee machine, a dining room with woodburning stove, a sitting room with Smart TV and woodburning stove, a sunroom, and a cloakroom. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with en-suite, a further king-size, a double, and a twin, along with a bathroom. Outside there is a wrap-around garden upon 1.5 acres with lawn, patio, furniture, barbecue, pond, and fire pit, and private parking for four cars. One well-behaved dog welcomed, but no smoking. You'll find a shop in 1.4 miles, and a pub and Helford River in 0.4 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Gweek House is the ideal base to explore Cornwall. Note: There is limited headroom in the cloakroom. Note: There are steps to the exterior. Note: Please be mindful of the pond. Note: There is a low banister up the stairs.

Location Details
This peaceful little community is situated in Southern Cornwall's stunning countryside. Convenience stores and a fine bar with cuisine are available in Mawgan. Take the quick trek to Helston, which has a large variety of bars, restaurants, and stores, for more facilities. There are some of Cornwall's most well-known coastal resorts close by, including Falmouth, which is only 10 miles away and is a must-see because of its gorgeous harbour and the magnificent Pendennis Castle. You may also easily go from Mawgan to Lizard, which is where mainland Britain's southernmost point is located.
Reviews
No curb appeal on arrival with moss covered back yard. We felt the house had a pervasive smell of damp. Sykes state 'the property did not smell of damp'. There was black mould on the curtains in the lounge and on the window sills. Excess condensation on the windows which prevailed throughout the day. Sykes state 'this was because they are single pane windows and condensation will form but there is a Karcher window machine for you to use to remove the condensation'. We felt there was insufficient hot water for 8 people to bath/shower in the morning and do any dishes etc. Sykes state 'the house keeper didn't have a problem!' The garden furnisher was unkempt and the hammock was covered in black mould, cushions were mouldy on the chairs. Fire pit area unusable. Sykes state 'this area was meant to be wild'. Lovely garden to walk through, accommodation was excellent for the dogs as was the garden. Kitchen was well equipped apart from no washing up bowl or plug Bedrooms were well decorated and all was very clean. Village shop was lovely with unique gifts. All of the beaches recommended in house information were excellent for beach walks with the dogs. We have provided some photos for you to have a look at our experience.
