Note: Two parking permits supplied for Orchard car park on Beer Road (no allocated space) within a 5 minute walk.
Location Details
Seaton is a seaside town in East Devon on the south coast. It faces onto Lyme Bay, to the west of the mouth of the River Axe with red cliffs to one side and white cliffs on the other. Axmouth and Beer are nearby. A sea wall provides access to the mostly shingle beach stretching for about a mile, and a small harbour. Seaton is on the stretch of Devon coastline, known as the Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site, and the town offers a good range of shops, friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Beautiful house, good location, clean and well equiped. Sadly I have to give a 'terrible' rating due to the appaling service received from Sykes Cottages. A week before we left to go on holiday (funnily enough after our full payment had been received) we received a message from Sykes to say that the house next door would be covered in scaffolding and having building work carried out for the whole week we were due to be in Seaton. We then spent a very anxious week trying to contact Sykes, Lyme Bay Holidays (seem to be owned by Sykes and their number goes to Sykes Head office) and the property owner. After a total of around 12-15 calls between us, we received 1 call back and a couple of messages to say that our contract was with the owner, not Sykes, and that they couldn't give us his/ her details or contact him. Useless. They made a family holiday for 11 people very, very stressful. We will never book with them again. Just check the Facebook group 'Sykes Cottages Unhappy Customers Page' and see what the 7,500 members have to say too....
