Location Details
Kingsbridge is a busy seaside town in South Devon's South Hams. Kingsbridge has lovely independent shops, cafes, a 3-screen cinema, and an award-winning pub. Salcombe, on the banks of the Kingsbridge Estuary, is one of South Devon's prettiest towns. Salcombe is a watersports paradise for kayaking, surfing, paddle boarding, and powerboating. Kingsbridge is ideally situated to enjoy the abundant wildlife in this AONB, which is part of the South Devon Heritage Coast. Visitors can stroll along Kingsbridge Quay, explore Fore Street's narrow alleys, or visit Totnes' Shambles, an Elizabethan market arcade. In the South Hams, there are picturesque ports like Dartmouth and Salcombe, as well as sandy beaches like Blackpool Sands near Stoke Fleming and Thurlestone's two. The South Hams has many charming villages with interesting pubs, local produce shops and pretty cottage rows, and Plymouth, with its National Marine Aquarium, historic Barbican Quay and vibrant nightlife, has it all. Trains to Totnes and local buses to Kingsbridge are both easily accessible.
