Explore the beautiful Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, take lovely treks in the Wye Valley and Vale of Usk, or along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. Every day of your vacation will be different with abbeys, castles, mining museums, a Roman amphitheatre, and baths in nearby Caerleon.

Characterful and cosy, plenty of space for 6 of us plus two (ahem) well behaved dogs. We stayed for a weekend in damp late October. Owners live in main house and were most welcoming in person and with a mini hamper including a bottle of booze on the table. Friday night we got a takeaway from Abergavenny 2 miles away and had a great meal at pub across the road on Sunday. If you cook, it’s all there. Got out to 4 Waterfalls Trail, Raglan Castle, Brecon, Hay on Wye. Lovely weekend
