Location Details
Rosscarbery, between Skibbereen and Clonakilty, is the perfect place to spend a vacation because of its location at the head of a tidal inlet about a mile inland from the sea. This now-quiet rural hub was once a great European city and renowned academic hub dating back to the sixth century. With a somewhat smaller population these days, the area enjoys a wonderful, slow-paced lifestyle. There are a lot of excellent restaurants to indulge your taste buds, as well as a variety of charming boutiques. Three beautiful beaches are within easy driving distance of the city; the closest of them, Warren Beach, has even been awarded the Blue Flag. Excellent chances for walking, cycling, and golf are available, and watersports fans will feel right at home.
