Location Details
On the north-eastern tip of Anglesey, in a gorgeous coastal setting, is the small seaside community of Amlwch Port. The community, which formerly hosted prosperous mining operations, today hosts a variety of events and attractions, making it the perfect destination for a family vacation. Visit the Old Mine Works at Mynydd Parys to see the red, yellow, and purple rocks, which some people claim resemble the Moon's surface, or learn about the history of Amlwch and its copper mining tradition on the Heritage Copper Trail, a section of the lovely 125-mile coastal path that winds its way along the coast of Anglesey. Golf enthusiasts can play at the Bull Bay Golf Club nearby, and sea fishing is a particularly well-liked past time in Amlwch. Take a ferry to Dublin and spend the day experiencing Irish culture or stay on Anglesey and take advantage of one of the island's stunning beaches. Whatever your inclination, you will undoubtedly enjoy yourself in this magnificent beach setting.

This was are second visit to Royal Oak Cottage Amlwch Port. The Cottage is well equipped with everything you need for your stay they even catered for two dogs,When we arrived there was milk in fridge a lovely bottle of wine and treats for the dogs. Lovely comfy beds and a brilliant waterfall shower. The cottage is very comfortable. The locals were very friendly and helpful. If you like real ale Adelphi Vaults in the village square is place to go. No doubt there will be a 3rd visit next year.
