What a lovely warm welcome from Jan, the host. The welcome basket was a lovely touch too! I spent my week clearing out my mums house after she passed away recently and the annex provided a cosy, homely, peaceful retreat at the end of long chaotic days so the slow broadband wasn’t much of an issue as I needed to decompress each day. I loved the comfy furniture, well equipped kitchen and the wonderful views from the annex, watching the birds in the trees and enjoying the peace and quiet and even the odd clip-clop of horses. Although I didn’t visit local attractions, I am a Somerset girl, and have lived in the locale previously. There is such a lot to see and do, this really is a good base for exploring!
