Location Details
Cockermouth is a tiny market town in the northwestern Lake District, 13 miles from Keswick. The town is the birthplace of William Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame), and Wordsworth's Georgian family home is a National Trust site. Cockermouth has several stores, taverns, and restaurants, but Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water, and Derwent Water are the area's main attractions.
