Location Details

On the border of the North York Moors National Park, between the cities of Helmsley and Pickering, is the charming old market town of Kirkbymoorside. It is the hub for the area's farms and towns and is a charming location brimming with Yorkshire charm. While there is a market day on Wednesday, visitors will discover a variety of stores, including tea houses, pubs, restaurants, and antique shops. The charming villages of Hutton-le-Hole and Lastingham, as well as the National Park's superb walking and stunning scenery, are nearby. The North York Moors Steam Railway has its base in Pickering, making it a "must do" activity for tourists. It is not difficult to drive to Castle Howard, York, Whitby, and the Yorkshire Coast.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?
