Location Details
Newborough, or Niwbwrch as it is spelled in Welsh, is a tiny settlement in the southwestern part of Anglesey. Llanddwyn Bay is conveniently located nearby, and it is often considered to be among the best beaches in all of Britain. It is a wonderful spot for water sports, beach combing, birding, and general relaxation. Toads, lizards, and oyster catchers among other amphibians and reptiles call the Newborough Warren sand dune system, located behind the beach and designated as a National Nature Reserve, home. In addition to the Anglesey Sea Zoo, Foel Farm, and Anglesey Sea Salt, which are all within a short drive of the town centre, the Tan y Foel horse riding centre is also nearby. The Anglesey Racetrack is located in nearby Aberffraw, promising a thrilling day out.
