Beautiful golden sand beaches with first-rate watersports facilities and a lively harbour where frequent fishing expeditions depart are both at your disposal. Portland Harbour and the mountainous "Isle" of Portland are just a short drive away, connected to Weymouth by the stunning Chesil Beach. You can go the short distance to Dorchester, Thomas Hardy's "Casterbridge," or you can take a trip along the beautiful coastal route and stop by the Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. If you'd rather, you can always just go to West Bay, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Dorset Heritage Coast.
