Lytham and St. Annes-on-Sea, two popular seaside resorts, are situated along a stretch of coast dotted with beautiful parks. The Lytham seafront is just a short stroll away from the leafy Clifton Street, where you'll find a wonderful selection of locally owned shops, cafes, and restaurants. Lytham Green is a grassy stretch between the beach and the main coastal road that serves as a landmark due to its location, proximity to the Welsh Mountains, and the fact that it is where you can visit the restored Windmill and the Old Lytham Lifeboat House museum. Visitors interested in beer can tour the Lytham Brewery, while nature lovers and birdwatchers will appreciate the Ribble Estuary, which provides shelter to over 250,000 migrating birds every winter, and the rolling sand dunes of St. Annes-on-the-Sea. There are four golf courses in the area, the most prestigious of which is the Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club, which has hosted the Open Championship on two separate occasions. St. Annes-on-the-Sea has all the classic seaside attractions, such as a pier and colourful beach huts, that tourists have come to expect from a day at the beach. St. Annes Square and Wood Street, with their quaint cafes, tearooms, restaurants, and boutiques, are just a few minutes' walk from the pier.
