Location Details
The picturesque community of Hixon can be found in picturesque rural Staffordshire, close to the Trent and Mersey Canal and the thriving towns of Stafford and Uttoxeter. Hixon is a great starting point for exploring the region's rich mill history, as it is home to numerous scenic walking trails and a couple of charming pubs. The mills have a rich history and are connected to the nearby pottery industry. Uttoxeter, which is only a short drive away, is home to a plethora of shops, eateries, and, if you're in the mood for a flutter, a racetrack. The Churnet Valley Railway is a family-friendly steam railroad that has been operating nearby since 1849.
