Lovely location but the main reason my partner and I chose Westoe Hideaway was for the advertised peace and quiet. What a disappointment! There was no getting away from the intrusive overhead noise from the rest of the house. You can clearly hear every footstep/conversation/phonecall. The first night - when we were shattered after a long day - we were kept awake until 11pm by a loud phone conversation. The following night we were woken by footsteps, bangs and bumps several times. Had we not paid upfront I would have been happy to leave after the first night as it was not restful at all. On another note, if you are allergic to or don't like dogs then don't come here . When welcoming us, the owner allowed her dog to roam about the holiday let which I thought was unhygenic, inappropriate and unprofessional. Finally, the toilet is squashed right up against the shower screen - even my very skinny partner had to sit sideways!
