Dolton is a quaint community nestled in the green hills of Devon, with a general store, post office, butcher, and two excellent pubs, one of which serves up gourmet fare. The neighbourhood is characterised by winding roads, tall hedges, and a slower tempo of life. Dartmoor's open tors are a popular destination for hikers and wildlife enthusiasts, while the hills of Exmoor and the surfing beaches are only 40 minutes away by vehicle. In addition to the Cathedral City of Exeter's Roman city walls, retail mall, theatres, and restaurants, historic Torrington, home of RHS Rosemoor and an arts centre, is only 9 miles away.
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
