Lobster Lodge is a great family property with a prime harbourside position in the popular fishing village of Seahouses with outstanding views towards the Farne Islands and sea beyond. It is furnished to a high standard with top of the range fixtures and fittings. This four storey seafront property provides a flexible base with easy access to the beach and village amenities. There is access from the rear into the second floor and also from the harbourside into the ground floor. ACCOMMODATION GROUND FLOOR Entrance hall with stairs to the first floor. Garage. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with two single beds. Bedroom 3 with one single bed. Shower room with shower, WC, basin and heated towel rails. SECOND FLOOR Main entrance. Open plan kitchen / dining / living space. Kitchen area with electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. Dining area with table and chairs. Lounge area with comfy seating, TV and patio doors to the balcony. Balcony overlooking the harbour and Farne Islands. Stairs to third floor. THIRD FLOOR Bedroom 4 with King size bed. Location Details
A bustling, pretty fishing village with an attractive harbour, situated on the beautiful Northumbrian coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seahouses offers a variety of shops and a good selection of inns, pubs and eating places. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.
Reviews
We stayed at the above property in November 2023 booked through NCCC/Sykes. We have booked with NCCC many times and have always found the company friendly and helpful but unfortunately since they have been taken over by Sykes the service by both companies is dreadful. Unfortunately on this occasion the property we had booked did not live up to our exception. There was a obnoxious and overpowering smell of oil fumes coming in to the bedroom, you could not get proper ventilation due to the area outside being covered in! The walls in the bedroom where showing signs of mould. The handrail on the staircase was dodgy as wad the top step. I have previously mentioned the above and left a review on the NCCC Website,and wrote a letter of complaint. I was informed in December that the issues I had raised had been rectified, so obviously the items were faulty! Four of our party actually left the property early as we could not use the bedroom therefore spoiling the holiday. We were hoping for a amicable resolution to this unfortunate incident but unfortunately we have not received this, or even a apology! As I had said in my previous review the view from the lounge window is lovely which is obviously selling the property on the website, however we we stayed the property looked tied and in need of some work.
