Dorset's Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage Site, and the thriving community of Easton may be found near the tip of the craggy Isle of Portland Peninsula, which is connected to the mainland by the pebbled beach of Chesil Beach, which extends for 18 miles to West Bay. Easton, the second largest village on Portland, boasts a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants.
