Located in the picturesque South Hams region of southern Devon, Dartmouth is a popular tourist destination due to its estuary location on the River Dart. Dartmouth, Devon, is a hotspot for vacationers thanks to its proximity to the coast and the fact that it is located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town hosts many annual events, including the Dart Music Festival, the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, and the Dartmouth Food Festival, all of which take advantage of the town's beautiful waterfront and ancient, winding streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants, and art galleries. The South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail, and a plethora of quiet country lanes are just some of the many exciting routes for cyclists and pedestrians in the Dartmouth area.
