Golcar, locally pronounced "Goh-ker," is a community situated 2.5 miles from Huddersfield along the Colne River and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. It is perched on a hilltop crest above the Colne Valley. Golcar, a weaving centre that was crucial to the Industrial Revolution, now serves as a lovely vacation destination.
