Millbrook is situated on the Rame Peninsula, "Cornwall's Forgotten Corner," opposite the renowned naval city of Plymouth, in a bowl of hills at the head of a tidal creek that feeds to the Hamoaze. An region of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is largely rural and bounded by the Lynher and Tamar rivers, the Hamoaze, and the sea. The nearby seaside settlements of Kingsand and Cawsand, from where a ferry departs for Plymouth, offer additional shopping and drinking opportunities, while the hamlet itself offers a solid selection of both. Miles of scenic trails offer breathtaking panoramas of Rame Head along the peninsula's southern coast. Whitsand Bay, with its miles of empty, sandy beach monitored by the RNLI and towering cliffs, is just a mile south of Millbrook. You couldn't ask for a better home base from which to explore Cornwall's wilder side.
