Location Details

Cayton, a civil parish and small village in the Scarborough borough of North Yorkshire, is a great place to stay if you're looking for a relaxing holiday by the sea because of the abundance of local services and attractions. A number of WWII relics, such as pillboxes that have been eroded by the sea, can be found dotted around the village. There is a good selection of pubs and shops in the village, making it ideal for those who prefer to cook for themselves, but those looking for waterfront dining options should head to nearby Scarborough, a bustling resort town with activities for visitors of all ages. Scarborough Castle and the Rotunda Museum of geology are great places to learn about the region's history, and the town's sandy beaches are dotted with amusement arcades, ice cream parlours, seafood stands, and beach huts, perfect for a nostalgic day at the beach. Peasholm Park is a sight to behold, and the North York Moors National Park is even more magical, with one of the largest stretches of heather moorland, remarkable landscapes, wonderful wildlife, and plenty of heritage delights spread out along walking and cycling routes for all abilities. Cayton is a quaint village with easy access to the larger towns of Filey, Flamborough, and Malton, all of which offer visitors a wealth of attractions and activities during their stay.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
