Location Details
Bontnewydd is a small community in North Wales near Caernarfon. It is located where the Rivers Beuno and Gwyrfair meet. There are a few stores, a fish and chip shop, and a warm, inviting tavern serving tasty fare in the village. Caernarfon, a royal town with a spectacular castle, a plethora of lovely architecture, and numerous services, is only two miles distant. Snowdonia National Park, with its towering mountains and beautiful walking and cycling terrain, is just a short drive away. Thrill seekers can also enjoy nearby attractions like Bounce Below and Zip World. The lovely village of Llanberis is conveniently located near many tourist attractions. They include the National Slate Museum, the Llanberis Lake Railway, and Castle Dolbadarn. The city of Bangor is well worth exploring, and if you're willing to travel a bit further, the Island of Anglesey has beautiful natural scenery, rich history, and plenty of exciting attractions.

Lovely quirky place with a great lounge to relax. View absolutely lovely. The rest of property is spacious and adequate but could have been cleaner. My only criticism is we had to move weeds from front door to get in and also trim the grass (long when we arrived) to let our little dog use the small lawn. The kitchen had a very damp smell so we didn't use it. (the settee in kitchen should be removed as certainly not comfortable and grubby) Amazes me that because of that smell they incorporated a small bedroom in the kitchen. Not good if you suffer from asthma. Apart from these few issues the place is lovely but certainly overpriced. For the price they need to ensure it's clean and damp smell in kitchen sorted.
