Resting in North Wales, Bangor is a busy university town which has an impressive collection of shops, pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes, making it the ideal place for stopping off awhile. Nearby is the beautiful Snowdonia region where you can discover a range of stunning mountains or if you want something a little more sedate, head off over one of two road bridges over the Menai Strait to the stunning Isle of Anglesey where there are loads of activities for everyone to enjoy. As well as a whole host of fantastic beaches including Newborough, Trearrdur Bay, Benllech, Rhosneigr and Amlwch, there are family attractions such as Foel Farm Park, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Anglesey Riding Centre. National Trust sites in the area are Plas Newydd on Anglesey and Penrhyn Castle and Bodnant on the mainland. Boasting beaches, fields and mountains Bangor and its surrounding area really does have it all.
