Location Details
South Devon's Stokeinteignhead is a charming community tucked away in a narrow valley close to the coast. The small, winding village lanes are lined with charming thatched cottages and home to a traditional, welcoming bar, a neighbourhood store, a school, and a historic church. The charming fishing community of Shaldon is close by and is located at the mouth of the River Teign, which is well-known for its cockles, mussels, and salmon. Shaldon is a place to roam, relax, and take in life by the sea with its charming cottages, unique shops, and tiny lanes dotted with cafes. Children and adults will both appreciate the sandy beaches accessible via Smuggler's Tunnel, as well as the botanical gardens and mini-zoo, which are followed by a classic Devon cream tea. Some of the most beautiful views in the West Country can be found from the Ness headland, which boldly towers over the estuary's entrance and guards the seas between Shaldon and the bustling Victorian town of Teignmouth.
