Disappointed with this lodge. Advertised as king sized bedroom but only a double which was very cheap and uncomfortable. Only 2 pillows available. No bath only a shower over the bath. No taps on the bath. We encountered low water pressure and very little hot water also the septic tank blocked and caused a leakage over the garden on Christmas Day ! Unacceptable for an expensive Christmas break. Lodge was very cold 16 degrees when we arrived, and no heating provided upstairs whatsoever. Wood burner in lounge but costly to use every day as starter log pack only provided. Same goes for the hot tub . The host did his best but I feel Sykes holidays should amend the wording on the advert as we would NOT have booked this lodge . We left 2 days early as couldn’t bear the shower / hot water problem.
