The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen, shower room and one comfortable double bedroom and a cosy sitting room. The perfect base for exploring this historic area. The cottage was very good and we had everything we needed. It was a good base to explore this part of Northumberland, lovely and quiet and we had a really enjoyable holiday.
We had a great holiday, although the weather was not on our side we did the things we came north to do.
The overall tranquillity of the property meant that we slept soundly and peacefully.
The property was snug, a perfect Valentine retreat for 2, out in the country but near enough to local facilities by car. The butcher in Haydon Bridge is superb! Our hosts welcomed us in a very friendly and helpful manner.
