What a beautiful cottage this is. It has so much character in every room. It's absolutely spotless, at the same you feel comfortable and immediately make yourself at home here. The owners have thought of everything, it is very well equipped. The beds and bedding are really comfortable. A short drive Poppit Sands, had a lovely time there and also the National Bontanical Gardens of Wales. I would not hesitate to book this cottage, you won't be disappointed. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Another brilliant visit to such a wonderful well located cottage. From its idyllic setting next to the mill and stream, you are in easy driving distance of all of the Pembrokeshire beaches and historical attractions. You then return to a very comfortable 17th century cottage with all its 21st century fittings a really beautiful relaxing place.

Very comfortable and well-equipped cottage in a unique setting with a small stream running alongside. Super clean with a welcome pack on arrival, thank you - the dogs loved their chews. Friendly, helpful hosts. We found it to be more spacious than it looks on photos. Just perfect all-round. The owners have thought of everything.

We spent a lovely week in this beautiful cottage. It is extremely well equipped, with everything you need (and more!). It's a great base for exploring the beautiful beaches on days out and the comfy beds are very welcoming. The cottage is spotlessly clean. Having no mobile service is a blessing as the evenings were spent playing the numerous board games available and served as a great detox for my two teenagers! If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in beautiful surroundings with 5 star accommodation then Star Mill Cottage is for you.

The cottage is set in a small village, easy distance from some of the most stunning beaches and historical sites in Pembrokeshire. The pictures and reviews do not do the cottage justice. From its 2ft thick walls, flagstone and oak floors, beamed ceilings inglenook fireplace with wood burner, to its oh so comfortable beds and crisp linen The place was immaculate and kitted out with all you could want in 21st century gadgets. we had kerbside parking to the front of the house and a mill stream to the side. The wildlife liked it as well with blue tits, great tits, Cole tits, sparrows and a great spotted woodpecker on the same feeder at the SAME time! It was BRILLIANT we will be back, So relaxing PS the Welcome wine, chocolates and flowers were a nice touch

The cottage was exactly as described and I was so pleased with my stay. Set in a peaceful village with fantastic countryside around you, perfect for dog walkers, those who enjoy the outdoors or anyone who wants to just 'get away' and relax. There are quaint villages and busier towns all close by it is the perfect 'base' to go off on day trips, explore all the local beaches and there is a lot of stunning coastline to chose from! There is a local shop up the road for supplies! and further along another well stocked local shop for any extras however I found the cottage was thoughtfully planned out and lots of things are provided for you. Cannot find one negative to comment on for condition of property, everything worked as it should, enjoyed the wood burner in the evenings, wifi connection was brilliant during my stay, and although I didn't find time to play on them the games consoles with a nice selection of games offered something to do for the kids or in our case 'big kids' that may holiday there, a nice selection of films, board games and interesting books also available to use. Tidy and very Clean condition throughout the property. All communication with owners was polite, friendly and helpful and they leave a very handy welcome pack to answer most common questions. The parking was good we took a car and a jeep and we had no concerns with parking outside the house on a lovely quiet road without worrying. We also had our dog with us, who is a large breed and she settled into the cottage well, the garden was very convenient as well as being pretty and there is a handy gate separating another outside area with a beautiful stream so we could relax knowing the dog is safe/secure outside while we relaxed on the lovely big sofas! I was very impressed by the end of my holiday and extremely happy with the cost and ease of renting such a perfect little retreat for a week. Would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a break. Thank you very much and look forward to staying again in the near future. :)

This cottage was exactly what we wanted. Perfectly located in central Pembrokeshire, we were able to enjoy day trips out to the picturesque coastal towns, then feel right at home in the evenings, soak in the deep bath, cook up a meal in the spotless kitchen and then settle down by the fire. The whole break was so relaxing, and the cottage had an immediate impact and welcoming feel. We didn't want to leave the super-comfy beds each morning! Couldn't fault the cleanliness, and there was everything we needed in place upon arrival. When can we go back?!

We highly recommend Star Mill Cottage. It's a very cosy cottage with everything you need plus more. Our two year old son settled in very quickly, the beds were very comfortable, and the log burner just finished it off for us. People in the village are also very friendly. lots to do for children and adults in a 20 mile radius, beaches are well worth a visit too! If we come back to Wales we will definitely be staying at Star Mill Again.

Just returned from a lovely week at this cottage. The facilities are well thought out, clean and there are many added extras that made our stay even more enjoyable. Kitchen has everything you could think of and the bed was really comfy. In the evening we relaxed and enjoyed watching some of the dvd's that are provided and if you have time there are also many games and books. We loved watching the different types of birds in the garden feeding at the food station and there is even an ample store of seed etc for you to replenish the feeders! We made good use of the many leaflets there, about the surrounding area to plan our days out. All in all a brilliant week and we will definitely return next year to this cottage!

The cottage itself is charming but absolutely filthy. Plates with food on in the cupboards. Utensils and kitchen were thick with grease and grime. We had to spend half a day cleaning and put some things in the out building because we couldn't stand to have them in the cottage with us. There wasn't a surface that I felt confident to touch without disinfecting first. So disappointing considering we came here to relax. The cottage is stunning, but so dirty, I would not recommend. What a shame.

I know you can't do much about the location of a cottage in respect of sunshine etc but the location of this cottage in relation to it's surroundings is not shown in the photos. The cottage was very dark inside and you couldn't have the curtains fully open because the people in the holiday cottage opposite could see right in. The second and third bedroom and upstairs bathroom are accessed through the main bedroom and you are expected to place a screen at the end of your bed to get some privacy. Not good. The upstairs bathroom ceiling slopes so low that you bang your head every time to use the toilet. The cleaning is also not very thorough. There were cobwebs everywhere. The whole cottage needs a really good clean, the fridge , cooker , bathroom and door handles on the kitchen cupboard doors, the windows. The only good thing about the cottage was the comfy bed and level of equipment. The garden/courtyard had loads of weeds, around the approach to the front of the cottages all weedy and neglected. It became just somewhere to sleep rather than a home from home experience. We loved South Wales though , the area is beautiful and there is lots to see and do.

Quite, peaceful location. Very quirky cottage which has has everything you may need during your stay. Also we had a problem with the oil filled boiler and the owners got onto it straight away and was sorted within 24hrs.

We had a wonderful week in Star Mill Cottage. Coming from the West Midlands we aren't used to being so isolated but we soon got used to the peace and quiet. Our dogs loved walking along the country lanes. Neighbours were very friendly - including the horses and cows!

The proximity to the sites we wanted to visit was perfect! While we enjoyed playing tourist during the day we appreciated returning home each evening. The cottage is just lovely , well kitted out and well maintained! The bathrooms and the kitchen were very user friendly! Waking up to the sounds of birds and the rushing water in the stream each morning was delightful. We made a last minute booking and the owners were more than accommodating!

We liked everything! The beds were extremely comfortable, as were the sofas, and a good selection of books meant we weren't short of bedtime reading either! If we'd had longer, we would no doubt have enjoyed a few of the DVDs there too. We were really happy with the cottage, inside and out. The secure garden areas were a real plus as well. A lot of thought has clearly gone into making this a really cosy, comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.

The perfect place for alfresco dining, dog walks and meeting the neighbours! Lovely cottage with more amenities than initially anticipated - very tastefully done and a lovely home away from home. Excellent for accessing the local areas and just the perfect getaway. Thank you.

Just back from a 5 day stay at Star Mill Cottage. Arrived to find a bottle of wine and bag of choccies waiting for us - great start to a holiday. The cottage is simply wonderful - Lucy and Bob (the owners) have put so much thought into providing everything that you could need. The bathrooms are equipped with gels and soaps. The kitchen is fully loaded with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave etc. Thoughtful touches abound everywhere - provision of dishwasher tablets, washing up powder, birdfood for the numerous feeders in the gardens, plenty of luxurious towels, Wi-Fi connectivity, 3 TVs etc etc. The cottage is full of history and is in an idyllic setting - a perfect place to escape the rat race and rediscover yourself. This holiday meant a lot to my family as our planned holiday earlier in the year had to be cancelled following the death of my mother and this was the first opportunity that we had to take leave of dealing with her estate. I am so glad that we chose Star Mill Cottage - we had a wonderful week exploring amazing places and coming back each night to our home-from-home. Words can't describe how much this holiday meant to my family and I can't recommend Star Mill Cottage highly enough. Deserves to be booked every night of the year.

Just got back from the beautiful Star Mill Cottage. The cottage is very welcoming and cosy. It is well equipped with all the essentials you need for your stay, plus a lot of added extras such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, sauces and condiments, and lots more. There was even a bottle of wine and chocolates on our arrival (nice touch, thank you lucy & Bob). It was just so nice being able to go somewhere and not having to go out and buy all these little things that add up to a lot. The bed was so comfy I didn't want to get out of it but there is so much to see and do that you just have to. We thought this place was amazing and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for a lovely weekend Lucy & Bob.

A warm and friendly welcome with a Christmas Tree all lit up, fairy lights on the stairs and the heating on for us. Beautifully appointed cottage, had everything we could ever have needed and more. Absolutely loved the cottage. Cute area too and not too far from the coast and nice walks.

Arriving late on a miserable wet Friday evening a week or 2 before Christmas feeling thoroughly fed up after getting lost (thanks to Sat Nav) and a speeding ticket (thanks to bad driving) we arrived at Star Mill Cottage to have our moods lifted entirely. The cottage was lit up by two Christmas trees and fairy lights all up the stairs, it was warm and cosy, nicely decorated and the perfect antidote to a miserable journey. We absolutely loved our time at Star Mill Cottage and spent much of our holiday enjoying what the cottage had to offer, including nights curled up with a book in front of the wood burner or making use of the internet enabled TV. We had indulgent baths in the gorgeous roll top bath and baked cakes in the oven. Star is a tiny hamlet with lovely walks near by and it's only a 10 mile trip to Cardigan and Poppit Sands. Can't praise this place enough really. We were so pleased and had a wonderful time.
