Reviews

We would highly recommend this Holiday cottage, it's fitted out to a high standard, has an amazing king-size bed ( the Malvern hills can be viewed from the bed ) the garden is a suntrap which is safe and secure for your dog. we spent several days reading with a glass of wine in the garden with views of the Hills. the Jacuzzi bath is a must after a walk of which there are many from the door. The owners Stuart and Jess are very pleasant and helpful. The only problem we had!... was only booking this most relaxing of holiday cottages for 1 week. Yew Tree Cottage is the location for Ledbury, Tewkesbury, Upton on Severn and many other lovely places to visit.

As usual we found Yew Tree Cottage immaculately clean on our arrival for our two week holiday. The bed was so comfortable and there are fabulous views of the Malvern Hills from the King-size bed and the sun trap garden which has a patio area. The kitchen is well equipped and the spa bath is amazing after a walk on the hills, which can be accessed from the door. The owners Jess and Stuart are most helpful and pleasant. We would recommend the Boathouse Tapas in Upton on Severn, along with Henrys Coffee shop. The Fig restaurant is also another that we would recommend.

Currently staying here, cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival. The cottage is lovely, nicely decorated and has everything you need for a relaxing break. Large paddock adjacent is excellent for our dog. Owner is very approachable and helpful. Beautiful surroundings. Thank you Jess for the warm welcome and beautiful cottage.

We are just back from a lovely week in Yew Tree Cottage. It's well located for fantastic walks in the Malvern Hills and we had everything we needed. Our bedroom had a fabulous view and the cottage was cosy and very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were of a very high standard. Our little border terrier loved the completely enclosed garden and it suited us perfectly. The welcome items were much appreciated and all contributed to a lovely break.

The pictures on the internet are true to this lovely cottage in a rural setting and quiet area of the countryside. The owners of the property are very pleasant and approachable. The pub a short walk away is very popular with the local community and does excellent food. Hope to return at a later date!

The cottage was situated in a nice place for sight seeing and there was a great pub with lovely food just down the road. It was a homely cottage with everything we needed. The secure garden was fantastic as I could let my dog roam around without worrying.

Rated by Mr Adams reviewed on 11th July 2015

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Had supportive friendly owners. The high standard of care really shows, it had the most comfortable bed we have had ever had in any cottage, this together with the many small details provided a lovely experience.

Rated by Mrs Crook reviewed on 20th June 2015

I was particularly pleased with the enclosed dog friendly garden that was all laid to lawn with mature trees. My two dogs are very active and loved playing rough and tumble games in it. The cottage was very suitable for dogs too as it was uncluttered and stone floored for much of downstairs. Being ideal for dogs did not compromise how lovely it was for people either, it was perfect for what we wanted, which was a clean, comfortable and cosy base from which to explore the surrounding area.

Rated by Mrs Chesher reviewed on 13th June 2015

Liked the high quality fittings in the property and the overall cleanliness. The central heating was very efficient. In a great location, perfect for dog owners.

The Cottage was the lovely, all we could have dreamt of and more. A beautiful setting, Malvern hills on our doorstep and dog friendly pubs & café in abundance. The owners could not have made us more welcome and the little touches to details were perfection. We would highly recommend this location and Cottage to anyone and everyone, if you love to walk or just stroll this is the place for you.

Everything was perfect during our stay for our honeymoon. The cottage was spotless inside and out. The garden was great for our two dogs. The bedrooms were large and clean and the bathroom was immaculate.

Rated by Ms Hayward reviewed on 1st August 2014

The cottage was in an excellent position for visiting so many places. Anyone who is keen on the music of Edward Elgar will find his birthplace museum an interesting and moving place. His grave is only half a mile from the cottage. Yew Tree cottage is a very comfortable and homely place with a huge bathroom and the super king bed is probably the most comfortable we have slept in our many cottage stays in this country. The views toward the Malvern Hills add to it's appeal.

Rated by Mr Gyngell reviewed on 18th November 2013

Lovely, warm, well-appointed cottage, set in beautiful countryside. It was conveniently situated for Malvern, Tewkesbury and Upton-on-Severn. We had a very restful holiday and were not bothered by the owners, who live in the farmhouse across the yard. We loved the kitchen/diner - and used the cooker, washer/dryer and the dishwasher many times! There was also a lovely large bathroom. The only downside was I had to buy cleaning materials (washing-up liquid was provided, plus a couple of dishwasher tablets) and I would have liked more towels. A large bath towel plus a hand towel wasn't enough. But then again I didn't ask for extra so I take the blame for that.

Though we did not stay in the cottage everyday it was always a welcome to get back, it had a wonderful cosy feel to it. The ladies loved the whirlpool bath, it was used nearly every night. The owners were very welcoming, though always busy, they were very helpful. We would certainly stay there again. A very peaceful spot.

Rated by Mr Varley reviewed on 24th August 2013

The large dog proof garden was excellent and the trees provided shade for us to sit under. It was in an excellent location for walking the Malvern Hills. We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years, but this was one of the best.

We have just returned from a week in this wonderful cottage. It is so well appointed and extremely comfortable and welcoming. The owners are charming and this cottage is a credit to both of them . The super king bed was luxurious and comfortable and the bespoke furniture in both bedrooms and bathroom is so in keeping with the cottage and very well made. We took our dog and the large enclosed garden was a bonus as were the wonderful views of the Malvern Hills. Would highly recommend.
